We exist to provide hope by breaking the Cycle of Poverty in the Hickman Mills and South Kansas City Area of Missouri. The HMCEC functions as a Bridge-Builder between the Community and Organizations that are dedicated to our Three Areas of Focus:

1. Budget and Finance

2. Home Ownership

3. Entrepreneurship as well as Entrepreneurialism 

The core of our efforts is to bring our empowerment strategies and resources to families. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs. That is, we can make a difference, we can arise above our past, poverty and limited potential. We are here to Empower the people of Hickman Mills and the Greater Kansas City area.
